# 3.3.4 Virtual economy

Users can participate in the economic system of the Baby Shark Universe and use native Baby Shark tokens (Baby Shark Universe) to sell and purchase virtual products and services between users. A decentralized marketplace of the platform uses nonfungible tokens (NFT) to enable transparent digital assets within the game, such as transactions of items, virtual lands, and digital art.

Users can purchase, own, and develop virtual land within the Baby Shark Universe. Owners of virtual lands can create unique experiences, host events, and generate passive income through activities, such as space renting, advertising, and charging entrance fees to exclusive areas.

Also, Baby Shark Universe supports entry and interaction between internal and external projects. To this end, it supports multichain bridges and provides an environment where external projects can easily enter the metaverse.

To allow external projects to enter the Baby Shark Universe freely, we choose to use a crosschain bridge to lock tokens of other chains and issue tokens of the same chain. In this way, it is guaranteed that additionally issued tokens cannot exceed the number of locked tokens as collateral.

We would like to grow with various crypto ecosystems and external projects by supporting the entry and interaction of promising projects in the future.
