# 3.2.3  IMX blockchain

Baby Shark platform is established on the IMX blockchain network that is strong, safe, and expandable. This technology provides a foundation for the decentralized ecosystem where users can interact without a central organization. Key benefits of integrating IMX blockchain technology into the Baby Shark metaverse are as follows:

1\. Unlimited scalability - games and applications do not have to worry about growing and having too many user transactions.

2\. Enhanced user experience - instant transaction confirmation.

3\. Cheaper (sometimes free) transactions - Immutable X uses 'rollups' for their layer 2 solution, which means that they batch many transactions (sometimes hundreds) into a single transaction on layer 1, the cost of which is shared across all transactions.

4\. Ethereum-level security - because all layer 2 transactions are batched and settled on layer 1, they maintain the same security properties.
